1107 Pacific Coast Highway, 90254. Drive through.
This is a home town jam. And it came off super efficient, at least at first. The dude was way on point when he took my order. I kept telling him stuff I wanted to order, then he’d be like “ok” super quick and confident. So I felt like I was in good hands. Then I go around the corner and there’s no one in front of me, so I’m like, “damn, this is a quick McDs.” But then I just sat there for five minutes after that, and it kinda took the wind out of my sails. When he handed me my food right before I took off, he said “Here you go, take care” and called me bro, which is something I secretly don’t mind.
Then there’s the food. I took a bite of this fry and it was weird. Hard to explain it. Then I took another fry and realized that I had some weird fry’s going on—really crispy on the outside, but then the inside was super soft, like cotton candy. It wasn’t bad, I guess, just unusual. Then I got home and was going to sit in a chair, so I poured the fries into a bowl, which I admit is strange. Suddenly the fries were super cold! I guess that’s the problem with drive through. The burger was really good though. Sometimes I think it’s the cheese that can really make or break the burger, and this cheese was so flavorful.
Oh, and the coke! I had my first sip after a few of the weirdo fries, and it was like WOOOSSSHH!!!! I could feel the cold coke just streaming into my body and it was amazing. Also, I had ordered two fries, an extra for someone else, and it wasn’t in the bag when I got home! So much for the super confident bro taking my order.
I give this experience a straight B-.
